G'Day America

This page will be devoted to any trip I embark on overseas. The current trip just passed is that which had been thought of since I was 12, but was only put into action when I turned 21. My friend Andrew Butterworth "Butters" and I, Scott Rivett-Carnac "Scotty" embarked on a trip to America as a gift from our parents to celebrate our turning 21 years old earlier in 1999. I was given the choice by my mother, "You can either have a party where all your friends can join you and get drunk and probably forget, or you can have a trip to anywhere in the world that you will remember for your life." Of course I chose the trip and had 4 parties thrown for me without having to organise any of them.

On this page you will find links to our itinerary of the places we went to whilst over there. You can also find my diary of events that took place whilst over there which includes photos from that Itinerary page so you can skip to which ever page is relevant or that you are up to.

Whilst we were away we were able to keep in touch with our friends and relatives back home via e-mail. This was great as it was much faster than postal services, so we were able to get well wishes for New Year's 2000 from everyone. Along with that we are now able to keep in touch with those we stayed with over there. Most American's have e-mail access in their homes so we now keep in touch through the wonderful service that kept us in touch with home. Along with keeping in touch on the greater in frequent access towards the end of the trip, we were able to check where places were, opening and closing times, and what else there is to do in the cities we went to through the internet.

So now, enjoy your reading and feeling that you wished you were there with us, although I hope I have written in a way that makes you feel you are there with us. Don't forget all comments welcomed by e-mailing either of us below.
